MUSEUM TOUR: art and the world out there

Art has always been inspired by the changes of the environment and the relationship between wo*man and nature. Museums are the places where this immense treasure of practical knowledge and ideas is kept and guarded – open and accessible to all. Art has the power to convey feelings and concepts about our relationship to nature, that science is unable to. And art works from different times can show us how we have managed to adapt and deal with changing conditions, how to live ecologically.

With our interactive and accessible museum tours we unlock this vault of knowledge and show new and surprising ways to address the crisis of our time. Equally inspirational and informative for eco experts and art lovers, our tours offer alternative approaches to science communication and cultural education.

The tour was developed together with the municipal climate protection agency for Kunsthalle Mannheim in 2026 and with a focus on the modern art era. The tour is easily adaptable to any collection or museum and can be integrated in the museum’s educational program. Available in English and German.
