HERE ARE SOME OF THE TOOLS WE USE AND HAVE DEVELOPED
HERE ARE SOME OF THE TOOLS WE USE AND HAVE DEVELOPED
ROUND TABLES FOR EDGY SUBJECTS

Credit: JP Possmann
— We believe in the power of coming together in the real world. We develop inclusive and playful exchange formats, drawing from theater and performance as well as deliberative design to open safe spaces for questions in unsafe times. Check out our inter-disciplinary series REDEN ÜBERS WETTER / SMALL TALK ON EXTREME WEATHER in the PROJECTS section.
AUDIO TOURS

Credit: Tina Eichner
— Together with directors and authors we create multimedia tours for general and selected audiences. If you want to understand the transformation of the city, you need to walk it! Our audio tours take audiences on a journey from the familiar to the strange and from problems to solutions. The audio walk VANISHING POINT is adapted and developed together with local migrant communities. Check it out in the PROJECTS section. In addition we create audio tours to specific topics and audiences like city administration, residents or planners.
RITUALS FOR LOSS

Credit: Gabriela Valdespino
— For all losses that can not be expressed in numbers: We develop rituals to help communities strengthen resilience and identity in the face of cultural and existential loss. We cooperate with bereavement counselors and draw from various sources like music, theater, religion and psychology to create locally and culturally specific healing activities. We take much inspiration from the practices developed by migrant communities and mining resettlers.
EXHIBITIONS & FESTIVALS

Credit: Arthur Bauer
— Art exhibitions or movie screenings can be great opportunities for mutual exchange. We collaborate with theaters, museums and galleries to use these spaces for presentation and exchange using art as a catalyst. We also offer curation and production for existing cultural events related to Climate Adaptation and societal transformation. Our photo exhibition series SEA LEVEL CITIES invites coastal citizens to imagine the future of their home by looking at other coastal cities through the eyes of photographers. Check it out in the PROJECTS section.
PUZZLES FOR LOSERS

Credit: JP Possmann
— Drawing from an idea by artist Christoph Draeger, we produce photo-puzzles to help people affected by Climate Adaptation to deal with experienced or imminent loss. The slow process of assembling an image piece by piece, creates a perfect setting for reflections on the concepts of unity, division, wholeness and transformation.
CLIMATE TRANSFORMERS

Credit: Gabriela Valdespino
— Crucial knowledge and experience on how to adapt and transform runs through all spheres of society. We identify, motivate and train people with first-hand experience and valuable lay knowledge to become Climate Transformers – helping others to make better choices and increase resilience when faced with forced evacuation, swift transformation or extreme weather events. We find Climate Transformers among climate refugees, mining resettlers, cultural guardians and many other groups.
GAMES FOR ADMINISTRATIONS

Credit: JP Possmann
— Climate Adaptation poses considerable challenges to administration staff, as well as to many other professions. City administrations stand at the forefront of contestable urban transformation. We offer educational games and playful workshops to help employees develop interdisciplinary skills and deal with uncertainty, contestation and disruption.
GAMES FOR ALL

Credit: JP Possmann
— Climate Adaptation is cross-sectional, and sustainable climate adaptation involves all of us as decision makers. We offer several large and small participatory events to involve general audiences and selected groups in playful decision making processes, training future literacy and problem solving skills. The theatrical game CASINO GLOBAL invites audiences to investigate the mechanisms behind environmental politics. Check the PROJECTS section for more details.
ART FOR SCIENTISTS

Credit: Hochschule Bremen AB Gallery
— Of course, art-science-collaborations are an obvious specialty of ours. At conferences, we sing farewell songs with climate researchers, discuss hunger with nutritionists over lunch or shoot a tourism add with a room full of environmentalists. We also use our longtime experience and insight in the professional arts to help you gain the most out of your art-science-collaboration. Check the PROJECTS section for examples.
